COLLEGES Many students continue their studies at a college, when they leave school. There are several local colleges in NW London and a number of specialist colleges in central London. Local colleges offer a wide range of courses leading to A Levels, GNVQs, BTEC and NVQs. Some of these courses are academic (as a preparation for Higher Education) and others are vocational (training you to do a job, such as child care, engineering, catering or office work). If you would like to attend a local college you can
find out more about them by telephoning
or writing to ask for a prospectus. Alternatively you may wish to
visit their web sites: Specialist colleges focus on particular areas of training. There are colleges specialising in fashion, printing, art and design and many other areas of study. To find out which colleges offer which courses you can use the London colleges web site . You could also ask your Careers Teacher or Student Services Adviser to show you a copy of the Lifetime Careers FE Directory. <more> home | plan | study | work | help | email enquiries | telephone help line © Lifetime Careers Brent and Harrow Ltd 2001 |
